Jun 09,  · More than 40 years ago and Ms. Donna Summer's A LOVE TRILOGY sounds just as fresh as when this album was originally released on vinyl format. Even before Ms. Summer was crowned THE DISCO QUEEN the songs offered here are ROMANTIC! A follow up to her also sucssesful LOVE TO LOVE YOU BABY/5().

Donna Summer's quizzical "Try Me, I Know We Can Make It" wings her nervous little falsetto from risk to dare and from dare to mad hope, and her rhythm section gropes from testy touch-beats to tightrope walkers' guitar figures and safety-net compcoddtrodbestsihof.petsecounpacoresinategiquarturt.co remaining four tracks substitute dances with imaginary lovers for her debut album's love starvation blues.

A Love Trilogy uses the first side for one long disco track in three distinct movements 'Try Me', 'I Know', 'We Can Make It', and coalescing into the "love trilogy" of the title – "Try Me, I Know We Can Make It". Side two contained three additional erotic disco songs, including a cover of Barry Manilow's "Could It Be Magic". The album's artwork showed Summer floating light-heartedly through the clouds, again .
